Gil Turner lsot a 10-round split decision to Caifornia's Bobby Jones in a mild upset March 10, 1954, at the Arena in West Philadelphia. Jones was one of those many rough fighters from that era that few today remember. Turner, top welterweight contender, was trying his hand at middleweight and it didn't work. One month later in the same ring, Jones K0d the Philadelphia sensation in the 10th round. This is the 22-x28 cardboard poster from the first fight between these two. It is museum-quality framed and simply another top attraction in the career of Hall-of-Fame promoter Herman Taylor.
