Kenny Lane, 30-year-old lefty from Muskegon, MI, methodically chopped down 23-year-old Len Matthews, of Philadelphia, in this nationally televised lightweight fight Sept. 15, 1962, at the Arena in West Philadelphia. Lane thus avenged a previous KO defeat to Matthews, who was on a slide into boxing oblivion after having been ranked No. 1 for champion Joe Brown's title late in 1960. Lane had a couple of world title shots, but lost both. This 22x28 poster from the Lane-Matthews rematch is museum-quality framed.
